Temperament:
Peaceful; Make sure not to mix Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki with large or aggressive fish as they will steal all of the food or harm them.

Diet:
Ominvore; As with most loaches, it will eat almost anything you put in. Flake food, sinking wafers, shrimp pellots, bloodworms, tubifex worms, brine shrimp, small snails and some vegetables are always accepted.

Care:
Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki should be kept in groups of six or more, as they are schooling fish. Before they are added to your aquarium, make sure your aquarium is stable. Loaches are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrites. There should also be low nitrates. Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki will also appreciate a waterflow provided by a powerhead. As with other loaches, they are sensitive to ceratain medications. One major thing to avoid is anything with copper.

Comments:
Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki is the smallest member of its genus. They are very pleasing to watch. They are usually sold for a very high price because they are endangered in their native habitat. It is very similar to Yasuhikotakia nigrolineata.
