Care:

They are usually hardy fish, though perhaps a little less so than some of the larger Corydoras. Hiding places such as decorations and plants are essential. Open space for is also important as these fish are quite active when kept in the recommended groups of six or more. They seem to do best in tanks with fairly small gravel pieces or even sand as a sharper substrate can contribute to the erosion of the barbels. Nitrates are another cause of barbel erosion so levels should be kept as low as possible.
